Ada is one of those dogs that truly steals your heart! Imported from Europe, this beautiful girl quickly became a fan favorite around our household, and it didn't take long for us to realize just how special she really is. Between her stunning appearance, incredibly sweet personality, and wonderful temperament, Ada has become such a treasured part of our family and breeding program. Ada is an absolutely gorgeous female with beautiful, deep red pigmentation and a striking black mask that perfectly complements her expression. She has a lovely, feminine appearance with beautiful structure and an elegant presence. At approximately 65 pounds, we consider her to be the perfect size! She has the strength and substance we appreciate in our German Shepherds while maintaining a very manageable, athletic build. She truly is a stunning girl, and her beauty is matched by an equally wonderful personality.

When it comes to temperament, Ada is about as sweet as they come! She has such a gentle, easygoing nature and seems to take everything life throws her way in stride. She is incredibly friendly, loves meeting people, and is always happy to make a new friend. And if there's one thing you should know about Ada, it's that she absolutely LOVES belly rubs! She will happily roll over and ask for one whenever the opportunity presents itself. She's an affectionate, loving girl who genuinely enjoys attention and being around her people. She also LOVES going swimming and taking boat rides!

One of the things we appreciate most about Ada is her wonderful adaptability. She has such a steady, agreeable personality and handles new situations with a calm, willing attitude. Whether she's spending time at home, interacting with other dogs, or attending dog training meetings surrounded by unfamiliar people and dogs, Ada takes it all in stride. She has a natural confidence and a willingness to participate that make her such a pleasure to work with.

One of our proudest moments with Ada actually happened outside of the traditional show ring! Our son, Denton, chose Ada as his partner for his very first year participating in our local 4-H Dog Club. Neither had competed together before, but the two quickly became an incredible team. Throughout the year, they attended training meetings, practiced together, and built a wonderful partnership. At the end of the season, their hard work paid off in the best way possible! Denton and Ada earned Grand Champion in Agility AND Grand Champion in Obedience in his age division! For a young handler competing in his very first year, this was such an incredible accomplishment, and we couldn't have been prouder of the two of them! Watching Ada work so willingly with Denton, respond to his guidance, and confidently navigate the different challenges was truly special. It was a wonderful demonstration of her intelligence, trainability, patience, and incredible temperament. Accomplishments like these mean so much to us because they showcase the qualities that matter beyond pedigrees and show ratings. We want German Shepherds that are not only beautiful but also intelligent, willing, adaptable, and capable of being wonderful family dogs. Ada's success with Denton is such a perfect example of that. The bond they developed and the things they accomplished together are memories we will always treasure!

Ada has also given us something else incredibly special: our beautiful girl, Calista von Hughston! Calista was our keeper puppy from Ada's very first litter with us, and we are so excited to have the opportunity to continue Ada's bloodline through a daughter raised right here in our program. Keeping Calista was an easy decision, and we look forward to watching her grow and develop into the next generation of Hughston German Shepherds.

As a mother, Ada has been a wonderful addition to our breeding program, and we are incredibly excited about her future. Her beautiful appearance, sweet temperament, and easygoing personality are all qualities we hope to see passed along to her puppies. We believe these characteristics are especially valuable in producing the type of well-rounded German Shepherds that can excel as loving family companions while still maintaining the intelligence and versatility the breed is known for.

Ada truly represents so much of what we love about German Shepherds. She is beautiful, affectionate, friendly, intelligent, and incredibly willing to please. She has the kind of personality that makes everyone fall in love with her, and her accomplishments with Denton make her even more special to our family.
